Meet Matthew, the fourth-generation owner of David Stern Window Treatments and son of Steve and Donna, who led the business for the past 40 years. Growing up immersed in the family business, Matthew spent countless afternoons at the store, beginning to assist with simple tasks as soon as he was old enough to handle a screwdriver. By age 14, he was already repairing and retaping blinds, and by 18, he took on commercial projects out in the field.

Before fully committing to the family legacy, Matthew worked as a high school teacher. However, when Steve and Donna decided it was time to retire, he embraced the opportunity to focus entirely on David Stern Window Treatments. Despite taking over leadership, Matthew deeply respects his parents’ experience—they continue to serve as both loving parents and trusted business advisors.
